As you would probably expect we have a very diverse range of readers in this particular establishment. Healthy debate is absolutely part and parcel of any institution worth it's salt that encourages the development of critical thinking and the application of insight and reason into the dilemmas we as a society face today. Our students and researchers stand on the rather nicely formed shoulders of the giants of academic endeavour, and hope to emulate, nay, eclipse luminaries of these sceptred isles such as Bertrand Russell; Mary Wollstonecraft; John Stuart Mill; Marie Stopes or John Maynard Keynes.
And then again, we have those who leave notes like these.
They were both facing out from little piles of scrap paper that are next to the catalogue computers. I suspect the one of the left was done first, and the biting critique on the right followed.
Apparently "monay" is a classic Filipino bread...like I said diverse range of knowledge here. Either that or their on board spell-checker is on the fritz!
